Translate your Google AdWords campaigns

Capturing leads and getting those much needed conversions can be a difficult process. Your AdWords campaigns are generating conversions, but are you reaching enough potential customers?

If you take your top performing ads and translate them, this will give your marketing campaigns a wider, international audience. Speaking to new customers in their language is the best way to bridge the gap. All you need now is to convert them to sales.

Start Translating

Before we begin translating the entire ad campaigns, we take your current keywords, translate them and search volume data and trends with the target country. This helps us to see if the selected keywords are appropriate and if they are popular*.

Once we have built up a list of effective keywords, we translate your campaigns’ ad headlines and descriptions. We also translate ad extensions such as call, callout, and sitelink extensions.

What You Have To Do

We ask our customers for a number of things to kick-off the project. Here is what you have to do:

  1. Export the keywords you wish to translate
    • Click on the campaign, then click on Keywords tab and finally click on the Download report button
  2. Download as an Excel .csv file
  3. Repeat the above steps for Ads and Ad extensions

AdWords Download report button

  1. Tell us which language you want and the target country
  2. You can also include negative keywords in your report
    • Negative keywords make sure your ads do not show in unrelated search results
  3. Contact our sales team and upload your CSV file for translation

Web Summit 2016

Goodbye Web Summit, Hello Lisbon

Web Summit 2016

Goodbye Web Summit

As we say Goodbye to the Dublin Web Summit, Paddy Cosgrave and the debates about the Irish Government, Wi-Fi and customer service, what’s next for Irish digital and our webpreneurs?

Am I sad to see the Web Summit go to Lisbon? Partly yes and partly no. Governments shouldn’t bow to big business, but they do need to listen – and be professional. At the end of the day – the Web is international, so it should not matter where in the world it is. As long as you have good Wi-Fi!

Hello Lisbon

Lisbon will bring many new things to the Web Summit. Firstly, it will bring us closer to Europe. It will be interesting to see if the new location brings language challenges to the teams or entrepreneurs and the Web Summit team. The summit has always been international. But now that it’s based in Lisbon, will it attract more European visitors?

What will be the default language of the show — English or Portuguese?

Will the #WebSummit ever be the same again?

Need Translation?

So Paddy and the team, if you need Portuguese translation or any language for that matter, give me a call here at STAR Translation Dublin. With offices in 44 countries, we will help you deliver in every language.

Exhibiting in Lisbon?

If you’re bringing your company to Web Summit in Lisbon, think about translating some of your marketing material, even a one-page flyer.  You will be closer to Europe, so put your best image forward with professional translation. Speak to your customers in their language.

At STAR, we help drive international sales for our customers and make the world a smaller, friendlier place to do business.

Draw My Life | STAR Translation: Journey of a Start-up…

Over the years, many people have asked how we started STAR translation Dublin. We were a typical start-up and grew rapidly into the professional translation company we are today.

Paul Quigley and Damian Scattergood, our founders, share an insight into how we started. It all began in 2002, from a chance meeting at a LocalizationWorld conference in Dublin city with the CEO of STAR AG. Fast-forward seven days later when STAR-TS.COM was born.

Here is our story…

Start-up Ireland

Ready, Set, Start-up Ireland!

Start-up Ireland

Start-up Ireland — 5 Days · 5 Cities · 5 Industries

Start-up Ireland

The most comprehensive map of Ireland’s start-up ecosystem has been produced by the guys at Start-up Ireland. The “gathering” is being dubbed as one of the biggest national events in the world and will take place across five Irish cities over five days and includes five industries …

The Start-up Map displays, for example, more than 844 start-ups, 132 multinationals and 71 sources of funding.

The gathering commences on the 5th to the 10th of October 2015, with over 50 events being planned so far.

If you’re a start-up and haven’t registered your place on the map, then contact [email protected].

Start-up, The Five Cities

The events will run in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Waterford with the aim of channelling and growing the start-up sector throughout Ireland.

The gathering’s theme is “Start, Scale and Succeed from Ireland”, and it will mainly promote entrepreneurship, and develop world-class regional “start-up hubs” around existing industry strengths in Ireland. This will provide fuel for potential start-ups and those already in the market may scale up!

The Gathering is set to showcase Ireland as a leading start-up sector for multinational entrepreneurs, investors and R&D teams. The initiative is backed by the Irish government and may attract up to 15,000 people. Its creators aim to make Ireland a “start-up-hub” by 2020.

Follow the latest updates using #StartUpIRL.

If you’re a new company starting up, STAR can help you Start, Scale and Succeed in international markets. We provide translation services for websites, documents and apps in over 70 languages. Let’s start something big together.

Introducing the new Search Console

New Google Search Console Announced

Introducing the new Google Search Console

Introducing the new Google Search Console

Google Search Console, Farewell Webmasters Tools

Google’s Webmasters Tools has been providing webmasters with useful features to help them make their websites more findable and useful for almost ten years.

But Google wants to rebrand and rename Webmasters Tools: Introducing the new Search Console!

Why?

Since change is always a good thing, well, most of the time, Google’s reason behind the rebranding is that webmasters aren’t the only people who use the app. Inclusion is the keyword! As Google has stated, “the traditional idea of ‘webmaster’ reflects only some of you.” There are all kinds of webmaster out there from hobbyists, small business owners, SEO experts, marketers, programmers, designers, app developers, and, of course, webmasters as well.

The one thing they all have in common, apart from using Webmasters Tools of course, is the desire to make all their work available online.

Google posted this update on their Webmaster Central Blog on Wednesday 20th of May. They’ll also be rebranding the new Search Console over the coming weeks. Make sure to bookmark it for future developments on all things Google!

Irish Exports Hit Record High

Cargo being exported over sea irish exports, Irish exports hit record high

Irish exports hit record high; increase in 10% since last year, reports Enterprise Ireland

According to Enterprise Ireland, exports by Irish-owned companies increased by 10% since last year; a record high value of €18.6 billion. Goods to the UK valued at €6.8 billion while exports to the USA and Canada totalled €2.3 billion in worth: that’s up 16%.

All exports to Latin America saw the biggest gain: up 42%, with sales of €224 million. Ten years, the value of export sales was €8.5 billion from companies Enterprise Ireland supports. Today, the agency reported exports stand at 51% of sales and are targeting export sales of €22 billion by the end of next year.

The software sector accounts for the biggest percentage increase in these exports.

Julie Sinnamon, chief executive of Enterprise Ireland, said that growth was recorded across all sectors as well and in all international markets.

“These results are reflected in the record jobs performance by Enterprise Ireland clients in 2014 where the agency’s clients recorded the highest net job gains in the history of the agency and further validate Enterprise Ireland’s investment in indigenous industry,” stated Julie.

Mobile-Friendly Sites To Rank Higher

If you’re website is not mobile friendly, its web ranking will drop when Google’s new algorithm is implemented.

From the 21st of April, Google’s mobile-friendly test becomes a ranking factor in their mobile search engine.

Have you ever noticed the grey Mobile-friendly text beside the description of a website on a mobile device? Well that basically tells the user that the site is responsive: suitable for mobile use.

All mobile-friendly sites will rank higher in Google’s search engine for mobiles if they conform… Test your website using Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test. If you get the green light, then you’re OK.

If your site isn’t responsive or mobile-friendly (they’re pretty much the same thing), then talk to us today to have it designed for all devices. We not only translate websites and digital marketing material, but design websites for use on desktop, tablet and smart phone devices.

Stay ahead of the game with a clear, easy-to-navigate mobile-friendly website.
