Docklands Summer Festival May 26th – May 27th

If you happen to be in Dublin city this weekend STAR can recommend you take part in the Docklands Summer Festival. STAR is one of the supporters of the event as we are based right in the heart of Docklands.

The Dockland Summer Festival takes place this weekend May Sat 26th and Sun 27th. There are lots of different activities happening at the event, like, kayaking, paddleboarding etc. You can even try walking on weather in a “waterroller”.  There are also lots of things for the children to do , such as face painting, decorating rubber ducks, balloon modelling, dress up and a variety of water activities. It will be a great family day out.

There will be world street dance performers, a juggling team, a great magician and a comedy circus show. There are lots of prizes to be won over the weekend. You could also try out the stand up paddling or kayaking classes for a half hour which run over both days and it will only cost €5 per person at the Waterways Ireland Visitor Centre.

Irish Village Markets will be serving up delicious foods from around the world.

Surfdock supply all equipment necessary, kayaks, wetsuits and buoyancy aids. You may wish to bring along some old runners if you do not have wetsuit booties.

Please note the minimum age for going on the water is 8 years and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also going to go in the water. All participants must also sign waivers. Waivers for those under 18 must be signed by a parent or guardian.
