Foras na Gaeilge to spend €6m on new Irish-English dictionary in 2012

#Irish Dictionary Update:

The Irish Examiner reported today that a major update to the English-Irish dictionary is to be implemented this year. This is good to see as there have been a lot of new words added in the last few years. Its been nearly 50 years since the last major update.

New words to hit the streets are…

The internet  = An idirlin,  Tweet  = tuit,   and you can even check if you YouTube video has gone viral  = mearscaipthe.
